History Made: Carshalton Athletic Women Enter Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the First Time
Carshalton Athletic Women are set to make history this September as they take their place in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup for the very first time.
Following an impressive debut season in 2024/25, the Robins have earned a spot in the First Round Qualifying, where they’ll face South London Women away on Sunday 7th September 2025.
The women’s side wasted no time making their mark last season, finishing second in the league behind champions Farnham Town – a team they notably beat twice during the campaign. The season also ended on a high with silverware, as the squad lifted the Surrey Divisional Cup, a remarkable achievement in their inaugural year.

Now, the club enters a new chapter as they embark on their first-ever FA Cup journey.
Manager’s View
Manager Aaron Lamont shared his excitement ahead of the team’s FA Cup debut:
“It’s a credit to the players who helped us become so successful last season. Their hard work and performances have not only brought us to this point but also helped us attract new players, which we hope will push us on massively this season. To be involved in the FA Cup is honestly incredible and I cannot wait for the journey ahead.”
Several members of the squad bring vital FA Cup experience, having featured in the competition with previous clubs. Their know-how will be key in guiding Carshalton’s younger talent through what is sure to be a highly competitive fixture.
Captain’s View
Club captain Georgie Edwards, who brings FA Cup experience from previous teams, echoed the excitement within the squad:
“To be back in the FA Cup is such a buzz — it’s a competition I’ve loved being part of with previous clubs, and to now represent Carshalton in it for the first time is something special. There’s a real belief in this group that we can go on a run, turn a few heads, and make the club proud. We’ve already come so far in such a short time — and honestly, it feels like the journey’s only just getting started.”
With belief running high and momentum from last season still fresh, the Robins will look to write the next exciting chapter in their story when they step out in South London this September.
