Academy Introduction Evening
Carshalton Athletic Academy welcomed 42 families to our introduction evening.
The purpose of the event was to meet the families of our 2026/27 learners and to share details of the Academic and Football programme. The 42 learners had been selected out of over 150 applications, trials and interviews.
Club Director Vicky Mannooch gave a presentation that included an overview, important policies, what learners can expect from the Academy and what the Academy expects from learners.
Head of Education and Academy DSL Sarah Collett gave a presentation about daily life at the Academy, the academic schedule, the football schedule and important safeguarding policies.
Academy Director of coaching and development Lee Rogers made a presentation covering the football and coaching programme.
Director of Football Peter Adeniyi made a presentation sharing information about the Academy league and cup competitions the Academy players will play in.
First Team Manager Steven Bates gave a presentation about player pathways to the first team and opportunities beyond.
Following the presentations players put on their boots for a session on the pitch whilst a Q&A session was put on for parents.
The Introduction evening was concluded with a meal cooked by our Academy Catering Team.
We are pleased to report that we received positive feedback from parents and players alike.
We look forward to the new academic year and season.
