Btec Sports Tutor

Following internal promotion, there is exciting opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic BTEC Sports Tutor to join our education department at Carshalton Athletic Football Academy.

This rewarding role will include the planning, teaching and assessing the academic elements of Level 3 Sports courses. Working closely with the Director of Education, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level. The role does not necessitate football coaching skills.

This will involve planning schemes of work, lesson plans, assignments, assessment plans and relevant teaching & learning materials for your classes. You will contribute to the planning, development and review of activities within your subject area. The role requires an individual who has well developed organisational, communication and team working skills and must also be able to meet targets and deadlines.

You will also carry out the role of a personal tutor ensuring excellent pastoral care, promoting high attendance and positive behaviour whilst maintaining accurate records.

The successful applicant will have:
– A teaching qualification
– Relevant teaching experience in FE sector, ideally delivering on a BTEC Diploma
– An exemplary employment record
