Evie’s Back! Lamont’s Player of the Season Returns for 2025–26

Carshalton Athletic are delighted to confirm that defender Evie Nebbitt has become the second confirmed retention for our Women’s First Team ahead of the 2025–26 season.

Manager Aaron Lamont said: “Evie is a huge boost for us heading into next season. She’s an absolute rock at the back and a natural leader in how she plays and conducts herself both on and off the pitch.”

Nebbitt added: “I’m really excited to be with Carshalton for another season. The club has a brilliant setup, and I’m determined to help the team push on and earn promotion.”

Named Manager’s Player of the Season, Nebbitt has been a standout figure in Carshalton’s ever-evolving backline, starting 17 of 20 matches during the 2024–25 campaign. Whether operating in a back four or back five, she consistently delivered assured, commanding performances. Known for her crunching tackles, composure in possession, and eye for the spectacular, she has been a crucial cog in what has been a remarkable debut season, all the more impressive given her tender age.

According to South East Counties Women’s Football League stats, Nebbitt recorded three goals this season, though her impact far exceeded the numbers. She capped off her debut campaign in style with a spectacular long-range strike against local rivals Sutton United, a Tier 5 side. After controlling a throw-in on the left channel, she unleashed a 30-yard rocket that curled into the top corner beyond the goalkeeper’s reach, a moment that perfectly captured her confidence and technical quality.

We are thrilled that Evie has chosen to remain a Red as we build toward an ambitious 2025–26 season and our continued pursuit of promotion.
