Midfield Maestro Fabio Saraiva has agreed terms to stay at Colston Avenue

A Season of Patience, Leadership and Big Moments

Fabio Saraiva’s 2025/26 season at Carshalton Athletic was one shaped by patience, professionalism and, when it mattered most, important contributions in a Robins shirt.

After an injury-affected start to the campaign, Saraiva had to wait for his opportunity to return to the side. His first competitive start of the season came in October, following a spell on the sidelines, and from that point onwards he steadily re-established himself as an influential figure within the squad.

The experienced midfielder’s return gave Carshalton an important lift. As the season moved through the winter and into the spring, Saraiva became a calm and reliable presence in the middle of the pitch, bringing composure, organisation and leadership to the team.

His importance was reflected not only in his performances but also in the responsibility he carried. During the second half of the campaign, Saraiva was trusted with the captain’s armband on a number of occasions, underlining the respect he commands within the dressing room and the value of his experience to the squad.

He also made his mark in front of goal during the run-in. Saraiva scored away at Potters Bar Town in February, before finding the net again in Carshalton’s 4-1 home victory over Wingate & Finchley in March.

One of his standout moments came in early April against Dartford, when he struck a stoppage-time goal to help the Robins secure a 2-2 draw. It was the kind of decisive contribution that summed up his season: determined, composed and delivered when the team needed it.

From an injury-hit beginning to a spring period full of leadership and influence, Saraiva’s campaign showed exactly why he remains such a respected figure at Carshalton Athletic. His return strengthened the side, his experience helped guide those around him, and his late-season goals provided some memorable moments for the Robins faithful.
