Ineligible player in Surrey County Cup
In the Surrey County Cup fixture vs Metropolitan Police FC on Tuesday 27th February Carshalton Athletic fielded a player who had previously featured for another club in the same competition.
Having been notified of this after the fixture we have written to Met Police FC and the Surrey FA to express our apologies for this mistake. We will inevitably be removed from the competition.
The club would also like to express our apologies to both players and fans for this mistake. We have strengthened our background checking procedures to ensure this does not happen again.
