Maisie Ward Joins the Ranks and Shines in Pre-Season
The backbone of any successful team starts with a strong defense, and our newest signing Maisie Ward has already proven she’s more than ready for the challenge. The talented centre-back arrived ahead of pre-season and has impressed from the very first whistle, showcasing composure, intelligence, and a range of qualities that set her apart.
Maisie brings something different to our defensive unit—an exceptional ability to pick out teammates with pinpoint long-range passes. Her vision and distribution from deep allow us to transition quickly from defense to attack, giving the team an extra weapon in our build-up play. Coupled with her strength in the tackle and calmness under pressure, Maisie adds a refreshing new dimension to our backline.
The coaching staff are delighted with how quickly she has settled in. Not only has she adapted to the team’s style, but she has also shown leadership qualities and an unwavering work ethic—traits that will undoubtedly serve us well as the season unfolds.
