Colston Avenue – Matchday Announcer
Our long-term matchday announcer, John Kistner is standing down after many years of service the the club. We are all grateful for his service.
This leaves a vacancy that we need to fill for the start of the season.
We are hoping to enlist more than one announcers so that the load is shared and each announcer would only have to fulfil the role once in every few games.
The role:
– the pre and post match music is played by pre-defined playlists direct from the matchday laptop so this needs only minor attention.
– Just before KO the teams need to be announced.
– When goals are scored then these will be announced.
– there are sometimes other occasional matchday announcements
This is a voluntary role, but it would provide free entry to each home game as well as a free meal from the kitchen, free coach travel and admission to away games.
