A good second-half ensured we left the home of the newly-crowned League Cup winners with three points, writes James Barrett-Sterling.
Enfield Town 0 - 3 Carshalton Athletic Bostik Premier League Saturday 13th April 2019 Attendance: 378 Our last five results: WWLWW Our 'Man of the Match': Peter Adeniyi
It was the same starting eleven and substitutes that were named against Wingate and Finchley last week.
Kick-off Carshalton created an early chance as Jacob Mendy surged forward from left back before, via Omar Koroma and Harry Ottaway, he shanked a shot across goal from 10 yards.
The hosts' first attempt on our goal came on 27 minutes but Billy Bishop was equal to Sam Youngs' 20 yard hit.
Then our keeper excellently tipped away a firm Lewis Taafe free kick that was arriving for the top far corner.
But we had a golden chance to open the scoring just before the break as Mickey Parcell bundled Ricky Korboa over in the area. The referee awarded a penalty but our woes from the spot continued as Joe Wright pushed away Ottaway's low effort.
HALF-TIME: 0 - 0
The travelling Robins fans didn't have to wait long for the team to go in front after the break - just 48 minutes on the clock as Ottaway swapped passes with Koroma to burst through and slid the ball beyond Wright.
And, just two minutes later, Tommy Bradford's 20 yard strike was only palmed by Wright and Koroma pounced from close range to make it 2-0.
Things got better before the hour as a cross in from the right was chested down by Peter Adeniyi, the ball went out to Korboa via Bradford and the player/manager swept the low square ball in from eight yards.
Town put a couple of good half chances over Bishop's crossbar during the last half hour, but the Robins held firm to record another victory that took the club into fourth in the Bostik Premier League.
