Team news Kershaney Samuels was suspended for this one, while Ricky Korboa missed his first league game with a knock. Tommy Bradford, Jerry Amoo and Lenny Hein all came back in, while Jordan Cheadle was handed his first full start in a month and half. Under 23 boys Jesse Sentamu and Nassin Slama were named on the bench.

Kick-off The player/boss led by example in this one as he opened the scoring after just 20 minutes. The Robins won a free kick just outside the Wingate area, it was played short and a second pass picked out Peter Adeniyi whom slammed home from close range.

Wingate tried to rally but Charlie Ruff and Olumide Oluwatimilehin put efforts off target before the break, but Carshalton managed to extend their lead on 51 minutes.

Amoo challenged home keeper Shane Gore on a high ball and Christie Pattisson put in the loose ball for his nine goal of the season.

The home side did manage to get the ball into the Carshalton net just after the hour but, after Oluwatimilehin’s shot had hit the crossbar, the bundled in rebound came from an offside position.

But Carshalton held on for the three points and, as other results went their way elsewhere, the club moved up to sixth place in the Isthmian Premier and on the same points as Enfield Town and Hornchurch.
