Robins host in-form Raynes Park Vale in Surrey Senior Cup

Carshalton Athletic entertain Raynes Park Vale from the Combined Counties League Premier Division South in the Surrey Senior Cup on Monday 15 November (7.45pm kick off).

The Robins will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of Saturday’s tame FA Trophy exit at Welwyn Garden City.

However, the game will be a tough test, with Raynes Park Vale unbeaten in eight games since 14 September. Their most recent win came in a 2-0 league victory at Balham. They were also leading 2-1 in Saturday’s home game with Croydon Athletic when the referee abandoned the game with a quarter of an hour to go due to fighting on the pitch! The Vale currently lie fifth in the league and have also progressed to the second round of the FA Vase.

On the night, Vale manager Josh Gallagher may have one eye on the game and one on England’s World Cup qualifying game against San Marino. His brother is Crystal Palace’s Conor Gallagher, who received a late call up to the squad and who will be hoping to make his full international debut.
