Robins looking to rebound at Cheshunt

Carshalton Athletic travel a near perfect 180 degrees around the M25 on Saturday 25th September to take on Cheshunt at Theobalds Lane.

The clash pits 10th against 11th in the Isthmian Premier League, with both sides having an identical record and eight points after six games. Cheshunt lead the Robins thanks to a one goal superior goal difference. It will be the teams’ first meeting since the curtailed 2019/20 season when Carshalton did the double over the Ambers.

The Robins will be looking to rebound from a winless streak of three games, the most recent being a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Ebbsfleet United in the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup at Colston Avenue. Potentially making his first league start will be recent addition, Chris Sessegnon, who made his debut at right back in the game against Ebbsfleet.

Cheshunt, on the other hand, have won their last three games including Saturday’s 3-0 defeat of Hitchin in the FA Cup, scoring nine goals in the process. Ken Charles, Zack Newton and Antigua and Barbuda international, Reece Beckles-Richards provide the principal goal threats with 14 goals this season between them.

The game kicks off at 3p.m. Tickets are available at the ground for £12, £8 concessions and £2 for under 16s or at the reduced rates of £10, £5 concessions and £1 for under 16s.
