There’s good news this week as we can report two of our homegrown talents hit major appearance milestones, writes James Barrett-Sterling.
Its big congratulations to Paris Hamilton-Downes and Ricky Korboa as each made their 200th appearance during this season.
Both players are a product of the club’s thriving youth system and have kicked on to became mainstays of the first-team squad.
Hamilton-Downes, whom made his first-team debut in 2013 and is currently club captain, reached his milestone back in November during the 4-1 loss against Boston United in the FA Cup first round proper.
The defender has made 224 appearances in total and chipped in with 17 goals, nine of which he’s bagged this season alone.
Korboa debuted in the same season as his teammate making two substitute appearances late on in the campaign.
The forward has made 203 appearances to date, with the landmark game coming at East Thurrock United a month ago, and also scored an impressive 57 goals during that time.
Both achievements will be honoured at an upcoming home game.
Well done to Paris and Ricky – everyone at the club is extremely proud of you both!
