The Robins are on the road again this Tuesday when they head to East Thurrock United in the Isthmian Premier Division.
The Rocks are yet to pick up a single point so far this season and have only managed one goal which they got in their 3-1 defeat to Cray Wanderers on Saturday. The Robins on the contrary, are still undefeated with a win and draw in the league and two big wins in the FA Cup. Jonathan Nzengo the man who got that late goal for the Rocks.
Despite their poor start to the season East Thurrock will still fancy their chances against the Robins as they beat them home and away last year and have only lost to Carshalton once which came in the 2013/14 season.
The Robins will be without Tommy Bradford after his red card against Whitstable in the FA cup means he will serve a one game suspension. Bradford scored two of the goals in Carshalton’s solitary win over the Rocks back in 2013.
East Thurrock finished 11th in last year’s cut short season, six places and 16 points behind Carshalton. The season before they were relegated from the National South when they finished second from bottom bettering only Weston-super-Mare in last place.
Omar Koroma will be looking to keep up his record of scoring in every league game so far this season and David Fisher will want to build on the five he has scored in all competitions after opening his league account on Saturday in the 2-2 draw with Margate.
The Robins return to FA Cup action at the weekend with an away trip to Bedfont Sports Club in the second qualifying round and East Thurrock will travel to Brightlingsea Regent in the league after both teams were knocked out of the cup in the round previous.
