Up next - Bishop's Stortford

Updated: Mar 15

Coming up next for the Robins is an away match against Bishop's Stortford (Saturday 21st March - KO 3pm).

It's an away trip for the Robins as they travel to Hertfordshire to face the Blues, writes James Barrett-Sterling.

After the postponement of last weekend's trip to Brightlingsea Regent, Carshalton will be itching to get back into action - the recent form makes good reading (four wins and a draw from the last six) including a 2-0 victory against Cheshunt last time out.

Christie Pattisson scored in that win, a goal that puts him at the top of the 'Golden Boot' chart with 15, and Carshalton fans have seen 18 different players hit the back of the net so far this season.

The Robins have tightened up defensively too by keeping two clean sheets on the bounce.

Bishop’s Stortford have endured a difficult time of it this season after finishing in the top 10 last time out.

They currently sit 17th and just three points outside the bottom three, plus they lost 18-goal striker/assistant manager Jamie Cureton to third-placed Hornchurch last month.

The Blues have recently found goals hard to come by in general however, hitting just two in their last seven matches all of which ended in defeat. They also haven’t won a home league match since the start of December.

These two met at Colston Avenue way back in August and Carshalton recorded their first win of the season - a rollercoaster 4-2 victory via goals from Omar Koroma (2), Jerry Amoo (pen) and Daniel Pappoe.
