Red-Hot Pepe: Dylan Continues His Carshalton Chapter

Carshalton Athletic are delighted to confirm that versatile defender Dylan Pepe will remain at the club for the 2025–26 season.

The 29-year-old joined at the back end of March and made eight appearances in red and white, debuting in the emphatic 6–1 win over relegated Bowers & Pitsea.

Manager Peter Adeniyi said:
“Pepe improved with every game he played for us. It’s not always easy for new players to adapt to the way we play, but he’s shown himself to be a quick and willing learner. Strong, with an eye for goal, as he proved with that outstanding strike against Dulwich, we’re hopeful he’ll deliver more moments like that in the season ahead.”

Despite only joining late in the campaign, the progressive centre-back quickly impressed with his assured tackling, composure on the ball, and willingness to step into midfield. Confident in possession and unafraid to drive forward, Pepe consistently helped initiate attacks from deep, bringing a modern edge to the Robins’ backline.

One of his standout moments came on Easter Monday, when he scored a sensational 25-yard strike in the 5–1 Isthmian Premier Division victory over Dulwich Hamlet. Following a slick passing move, the ball broke to the Frenchman just outside the box. Taking a touch to set himself, he unleashed a thunderous drive that left goalkeeper Berry no chance as it arrowed into the far corner.

With Fikayo Atewologun sidelined through injury, Pepe also took on added responsibility, expertly marshalling a reshuffled backline alongside emerging talent Kyron Horsley-McKay. Drawing on his wealth of experience in the National League South and abroad, he provided both stability and leadership.

Built for battles and thriving in physical contests, Pepe brings raw power, composure, and presence to the heart of defence. Carshalton Athletic are thrilled to have him on board for the new season.
