Ruthless. Relentless. Resurgent. Carshalton 16–2 Manorcroft.
Carshalton Athletic produced an extraordinary display this weekend, defeating Manorcroft United 16–2 — a remarkable turnaround from last week’s narrow 1–0 loss to Dorking Wanderers U23s.
From the outset, The Robins took control of the game, moving the ball superbly through the thirds with composure and confidence. The link-up play between midfield and attack was exceptional, creating chance after chance. A key area of improvement was in the air — Carshalton looked much stronger, winning their headers all over the pitch and setting the platform for a dominant team performance.
The opening half set the tone for what would become a statement victory. Dulley opened the scoring

after a pinpoint through ball from Sargent, finishing coolly past the goalkeeper. Minutes later, Edwards made it two with a brilliant strike from the edge of the box that flew into the top corner.

Eade then added a third, finishing confidently after a spell of clever build-up play down the right. Manorcroft pulled one back through an unfortunate own goal by Allen, but Carshalton responded instantly. Kimble’s cross from the left found Badley unmarked, who slotted home for 4–1.

Moments later, after tenacious work from Dulley to keep the attack alive, Kimble’s shot was deflected in by Badley for her second of the match. Sargent and Eade then both found the net with composed finishes before half time, with Eadeadding another shortly after following an excellent cross from Dulley. Badley completed her hat trick just before the break, giving Carshalton a commanding 9–1 lead at half time.
At the interval, the Robins made several changes — Underhill, McCrea, Nebbitt, and Ward came on for Dulley, Badley, Allen, and Parnell — but the intensity didn’t drop.
Carshalton continued to dominate possession in the second half, playing with confidence and freedom. McCrea opened her account after capitalising on a poor goal kick, before Sargent added her second with a crisp strike from the edge of the box following a short corner. Eade then completed her hat trick with a neat finish inside the area, before being replaced alongside Sargent, Edwards, and Rodriguez as fresh legs returned to the pitch.

The goals kept coming — McCrea grabbed two more to complete her own hat trick, including a lovely volley from Underhill’s cross.

Badley, back on the pitch, rounded off the scoring with her fourth of the day to make it 16–2.

Unfortunately, the game was marred late on by an unsavoury incident. In the 69th minute, Eade was attacked by two Manorcroft players, involving a hair pull and an attempted punch. One Manorcroft player stormed off the pitch before the referee could restore control. Despite the disruption, Carshalton maintained professionalism and composure to see out the game convincingly.
This was an outstanding team performance — confident, clinical, and full of creativity.

After last week’s disappointment, Carshalton responded in the best possible way, showcasing their quality and togetherness throughout.
A result and performance to remember — proof of the strength, resilience, and attacking flair within this Carshalton side.
