Sarge secured for the 2025/26 season
Carshalton Athletic are thrilled to announce the signing of experienced and highly respected midfielder Becky Sargent.
Sargent, 36, arrives from Dorking Wanderers, where she served as club captain last season. She made a total of 27 appearances and netted three goals, playing a pivotal role in the heart of midfield.
Known affectionately as “Sarge”, she first joined Dorking from AFC Wimbledon during their impressive double-winning 2022/23 campaign. Her standout performances helped guide the team to the London & South East Regional Women’s Football League Division 1 North title and the Capital Cup.
Her influence extended into the following season, earning both the Players’ Player of the season and Manager’s Player of the season awards – clear recognition of her leadership, consistency, and impact on the pitch.
A dynamic box-to-box midfielder, Sargent combines a commanding Ariel presence with a superb passing range and fearless tackling. Her technical ability and vast experience make her a major addition to manager Aaron Lamont’s squad.
Sargent’s arrival marks a significant coup for The Robins as they prepare for the upcoming campaign with renewed ambition and strength in midfield.
