“A proper football stadium, an all-weather 3G pitch,
extensive indoor areas, qualified and experienced tutors”
The Stadium
Our Holiday courses are held at our own fully secure football stadium. This is the same stadium and pitch that first team games are played on. We have the use of a wide range of football and games equipment to deliver the soccer camp programme.
All-weather top-quality surface
Football games are on our all-weather synthetic grass 3G pitch so parents can be sure that their children will always be able to play on a top-quality, comfortable surface come rain or shine.
Indoor areas for extreme weather
Our 3G pitch can be played on regardless of the weather, but In the case of extreme weather we use two large indoor social areas adjacent to the 3G pitch. So parents can make their own plans for the day in the knowledge that our holiday camp is never called off regardless of the weather.
Qualified and Experienced tutors
The holiday camps are led by our own fully employed tutors (our tutors work for the football club all-year-round in our education programme). Our lead coaches hold qualifications in first aid and have many years’ experience in looking after young children.
Meeting children’s needs
The children who come to our holiday camps are of varied ages and football abilities. For that reason, we have different activities and groupings at every stage of the daily programme so every child can enjoy playing games with children of similar age and ability.
Daily Holiday Camp Itinerary
9.00 – Registration and introduction
Children will register, our coaches will introduce themselves and then our lead coach will explain the itinerary for the day, the rules for playing and free time and who to approach if a child needs to ask questions.
9.45 – Warm up games – get to know each other
The warmup games are designed to get children interacting with each other straight away so they can be comfortable and relaxed as quickly as possible. This is especially important for children who are joining us for their first time.
11.00 – Snack and drinks break
We have both indoor and outdoor social areas which can be used depending on the weather. We also stock a wide range of soft drinks and confectionary.
11.15 – Ball skills practice (eg: passing, dribbling, shooting)
Children are split up into small groups based on age and ability to enjoy games which include football ball-mastery and skills
12.00 – Small sided games
Small pitches are marked out and (equally balanced) teams are created for the children to enjoy team practice.
12.30 – Lunch
We have both indoor and outdoor social areas which can be used depending on the weather. Children bring their own packed lunch but we also have the option for us to serve lunch to players – we have extensive catering facilities and serve quality foods. We stock a wide range of soft drinks and confectionery should parents want their children to buy something during break times on the day.
13.30 – Free play time
Children can choose whatever they want to do, this may be just chatting to friends of playing on the pitch.
13.45 – Small-Sided Tournament (Euros/Copa America/Afcon/World Cup)
We organise different styles of small, sided tournaments to meet the age and abilities of the various groups of children.
15.00 – Presentations
At the end of each day the lead tutor will address the children with encouraging words, we want children to feel good about themselves and their efforts. We often give out medals for good attitude and effort.
15.15 – Free play time
After presentations children have free play time until they re collected
15.30 – Collection
We operate a secure collection procedure to ensure that children are only collected by adults who have permission to do so. Passwords for collection are created by parents when booking.
